An enchanting first look at the fairest of them all.

Disney's upcoming live-action adaptation of Snow White has officially begun its magical journey with the release of the first teaser trailer at Disney’s ultimate fan event, D23. This beloved classic, which has enchanted generations, is the next animated gem to receive a live-action makeover, sparking excitement as more details come to light.

Rachel Zegler, who steps into the iconic role of Disney's first princess, Snow White, leads the cast in this highly anticipated film. Known for her captivating performance in West Side Story, Zegler couldn't contain her enthusiasm when speaking about the role. "It’s just been the honour of a lifetime," she said, beaming with pride. "I think any young person, any little girl, if you get to put on a Disney princess dress and be her for a day let alone six months… it’s just been the most amazing experience, and I can’t wait to share it with you all."

On the opposite end of the spectrum is Gal Gadot, known for her superhero prowess as Wonder Woman, who takes on the role of the Evil Queen. Gadot, stepping into the villainous monarch's shoes, expressed her excitement at the D23 event. "It was a lot of fun to get to do something completely different than anything I’ve ever done before," Gadot shared during a panel discussion. Her portrayal of the Evil Queen promises to bring a fresh, powerful twist to this iconic character, blending her signature strength with a sinister edge.

Directed by Marc Webb, famous for The Amazing Spider-Man films, this rendition of Snow White is set to be a musical spectacle, featuring songs from Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the duo behind the Oscar award-winning song City of Stars from La La Land and the beloved soundtrack of The Greatest Showman. Their involvement hints at a musical score that will be nothing short of extraordinary.

As fans eagerly await its release, Snow White promises to deliver a nostalgic yet fresh experience, bringing together Hollywood's brightest talents to breathe new life into a timeless tale. With Zegler and Gadot leading the charge, audiences can expect a film that honours the original's legacy while crafting new memories for the next generation.

Snow White will sing its way into cinemas on March 20.
