THE GENRE
Who doesn’t love a good psychological thriller?!

Not only does Don’t Worry Darling play the romance card incredibly well, with the trailers teasing some very hot and steamy scenes between Harry Styles and Florence Pugh, but it promises to fulfil the role of a chilling psychological thriller.

Those of us who love psychological thrillers know that many of the elements that appear to be present in Don’t Worry Darling - mind games, tricks, confusion, collapsing illusions, deception - are many of the essential ingredients that make up some of the very best psychological thrillers and mystery-style films to date.

From the content we’ve seen so far, the film has the potential to match the standards of the likes of some of the most incredible psychological thrillers of all time, such as Shutter Island, which has parallels to Don’t Worry Darling, in the sense that reality is in question, as what’s real and what isn’t becomes increasingly unclear, in addition to contradictory perspectives from various characters.

THE STORY LINE
Chilling, creepy, captivating, crazy, cunning and colourful.

"Everyone is acting like I'm crazy. But I'm not crazy," says Pugh. "I don't trust him, and I don't want to be here anymore."

Directed by Olivia Wilde, Don’t Worry Darling follows the story of a 1950s housewife (Florence Pugh) living in a utopian experimental community with her husband (Harry Styles). When the picture perfect life starts to show cracks, she begins to fear that there may be a dark side behind the glamorous apparent façade, and disturbing secrets begin to emerge.

This creepy yet captivating plot promises spine-chills, drama, romance, and mystery.

The two trailers that have been released since the film’s announcement have left viewers around the world on the edge of their seats and itching for more.

THE CAST
Harry Styles, Florence Pugh, Olivia Wilde ….

I’m sure many of us can agree that any film starring major heart-throb, Harry Styles as the main character and love interest is worth a watch. But add that in the mix with an incredible director, plot and cast, and it makes the film simply unmissable.

Don’t Worry Darling ‘s lead cast also includes the incredible Florence Pugh, who has proved herself to be a highly talented actress over her career, starring in films such as Little Women, Black Widow, Lady Macbeth, The Falling and many more.

In addition to the two main stars, the cast includes Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll, Kate Berlant, Sydney Chandler, Timothy Simons, KiKi Layne, Douglas Smith and Dita Von Teese.

Olivia Wilde directed the film, but as a spectacular actress herself, it would be amiss for her not to be a part of the cast, hence she also plays a role in the film, adding to the overall appeal of the already impressive and illustrious cast.
